Wife Of Saudi Prince To Plead Guilty
Women Accused Of Forcing Others To Be Servants
September 4, 2006
BOSTON -- The lawyer for a Saudi woman accused of forcing two Indonesian women to be her domestic servants said the woman will plead guilty to some of the federal charges against her.
Lawyer Joseph Balliro Sr. said Hana Al Jader will acknowledge in court Tuesday that she violated federal laws while living in Winchester.
He declined to say which of the six counts of forced labor and four counts of violating immigration laws the 41-year-old would plead guilty to.
Jader is married to Prince Mohamed Bin Turki Alsaud. She has lived in Massachusetts since the 1990s.
Federal prosecutors say Jader allegedly forced two Indonesian women to work like slaves, holding back their money, hiding their passports and preventing them from contacting others. She has denied the claims.
