Somebody, perhaps with a degree in English, has gotten picky and pointed out that to be grammatically correct the phrase "Nation's Awakening" needs to be made specific; as in it requires the word "the" or "our" in front of it. Officials have since stated that the slogan will be corrected. the suggested new slogan should read: Celebrating 100 Years of National Awakening.

The placement of Visit Indonesia Year 2008 logo on the body of an airplane belongs to national airline Garuda Indonesia in mid December last year has marked the commencement of visit Indonesia year. State Ministry of Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik hoped 7 millions of domestic and foreign tourists will visit Indonesia.
But behind the luxurious logo launching, there was an unexpected mistake in English line used for the promotional slogan, Visit Indonesia Year 2008 Celebrating 100 Years Nation's Awakening, whereas it supposed to refer to the 100 years of anniversary of national awakening commenced in 1908 which falls this year.
Revision for the word "nation" to "national" has been made in baligo placed in Selamat Datang Monument on Thamrin Street. "Celebrating 100 Years National Awakening". Compare it with various promotional kits which already circulated in the environment of State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the word "nation's awakening" is still used. Elementary mistake was surprising because the slogan must have been gone through various phases before consented by the Minister of Culture and Tourism.
Various logo already printed on promotional media will not be withdrawn. Revision on the material is the responsibility of the branding consultant agency Octovate who won the logo tender. The government has spent 900 millions rupiah of expenses for the logo design and promotional kits.
